What do you have to do to get sent to prison?

Take a look at this scum. His name is Reece Kent, 19.

This shit beat up this gandfather.

Now you would expect Reece Kent to be sent to jail wouldn't you, but no he walks out of court with a suspended sentence.

An extract from the article;

A drunken thug who attacked a terminally-ill grandfather and kicked his head 'like a football' has walked free from court.

Reece Kent, 19, repeatedly punched Ken Oliver in the head before kicking him on the floor after he mistakenly knocked on the 62-year-old's door at 3.30am.

Cancer sufferer Mr Oliver - who has been given just three months to live - was left in a pool of blood on his doorstep with horrific injuries.

He spent a week in intensive care following the assault, with bleeding on his brain.

Kent admitted carrying out the unprovoked attack - which was filmed on a mobile phone by his friends - and pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm.

But Mr Oliver, a grandfather-of-three from Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, watched in disbelief as his attacker walked free from court last week with a six-month suspended sentence.

What do you have to do to get sent to jail?

You're more likely to get sent to jail for not paying your council tax than for grievous bodily harm.

If there is karma in the world, i hope it comes down on Reece Kent like a ton of bricks.

Reece Kent should be sent to Afghanistan so he can see, while he is beating the crap out of a grandfather, what  our soldiers are having to go through.

What about all the soldiers from WW1 and WW2. I doubt very much that they gave their lives so we could be free, so scum like Reece Kent can beat up a grandfather.

What ever happened to 'the punishment should fit the crime',

It's all well and good the government getting to grips with the nations finances, but it better get law and order sorted as well, because I'm sick and tired of all the lawlessness i see on the streets.

Why has this been allowed to happen?

I cannot believe this has been allowed to happen.

The following comes from this article

Eleven rapists and hundreds of other sex offenders 'let off with cautions'

Eleven rapists and hundreds of other self-confessed sex offenders have been let off with cautions over the past five years in one police force area alone, figures show.

An extract;

More than 600 cautions were issued for crimes that include rape and child abuse in Avon and Somerset since 2004, police admitted.

Cautions are handed out when guilt is admitted and mean offenders do not appear in court, do not have their names made public and they do not risk going to prison.

You have people committing some of the most serious crimes against a person and they get a caution. No wonder the reporting of rapes is at an all time low.

An extract;

The figures, released under the Freedom of Information Act, showed cautions as punishment for sexual offences increased over the five years within the force area.

A total of 611 sex offenders were issued with cautions by the constabulary after the criminals admitted guilt, officers said.

Were they thinking that once the criminals were given the caution, they would be good and not do it again, yeah right

These included 11 rapists who confessed their crimes. Four of those had admitted the rape of a child under the age of 13.

How the **** can you not jail these scum, they admitted the crime. Why aren't they in jail now?

What about the safety to the public?

What is stopping them from committing the same crime again?

The figures also revealed 74 sexual assaults on women, seven on men and 28 on children were dealt with by caution rather being taken through the courts.

Four cautions were given for incest or familial sexual offences, two for abuse of children through prostitution or pornography and two for sexual grooming.

Who ever agreed to these cautions, for these serious crimes, should be put in jail themselves for endangering the public.

The country is a joke.

You get jailed for letting a few people smoke in your pub.

You have people going to jail for not paying the council tax.

But if you rape a child you get a caution

What a wonderful country we live in. NOT

Labour Plans To Fight Crime

Gordon Brown outlines plans for fight against crime

Gordon Brown has set out new measures to tackle anti-social behaviour as he put the fight against the fear of crime and yobbery at the heart of the general election battle.

That is
the headline to this article.

Gordon Brown has been the Prime Minister for 2 1/2 years of Labour's 13 years in power and they now plan to fight crime.

What the hell have they been doing before now then?

What happened to 'Tough on crime, Tough on the causes of crime.'

An extract from the article;

The Prime Minister accused the Conservatives of ramping up the fear of crime by ''abusing'' statistics and spreading the ''fiction'' that Britain is a broken society.

The Conservatives aren't 'ramping up the fear of crime', they are just telling the truth.

People are fearful of going out of their homes, especially the elderly, because there isn't enough of a police presence. It isn't all the police forces fault, they are drowning in paperwork and trying to meet the months targets.

This has happened since Labour came to power. They have destroyed the public's trust in the police due to all their targets and politically correct bull****.

The general public are fearful of crime, it should be the other way around. The criminal should be fearful of the police and the courts.

Another extract;

Mr Brown quoted the British Crime Survey as proof that crime was down by more than a third since 1997, with 6 million fewer crimes each year including fewer burglaries and violent incidents and the lowest number of homicides for a decade.

Labour are always quoting the British Crime Survey, why i ask? Is it because the real crime statistics, and not the watered down version the government produce, are so frightening that the government cannot publish them because it shows the real truth about crime in the UK.

How many crimes aren't even reported to the police?

Another extract;

But, in a direct attack on the Conservative rhetoric of ''broken Britain'', he argued: ''You don't tackle the fear of crime by cultivating it, by ramping up a public sense of panic, by abusing the figures and claiming our society is broken.''

Gordon Brown says that we shouldn't use the word 'Broken Britain' because it gives 'the public a sense of panic'. I ask Gordon Brown to look at Britain today, there are places in Britain that crime is rife, people get mugged, homes are burgled, knife crime and gun crime. The list goes on.

This country is broken, and it needs to be fixed.

Update:

Just found this article, it says a lot of what I am trying to say in my blog.

How can these people sleep at night?

I am talking about the people who let off James Moore, the thug who killed Joseph Lappin.

How do you feel knowing that you played a part in the killing of this poor lad.

An extract from the article in the Telegraph.

Moore, an Asbo thug who broke orders designed to control his criminal behaviour almost 50 times, stabbed the 16 year-old army cadet through the heart outside the Liverpool youth club in October 2008, prosecutors said.

How can someone break ASBOs, and other orders, 50 times and not be in prison or a secure unit of some sorts.

I would like to ask all the people who let this thug back on the streets to explain, to Joseph Lappin's parents, why they let him out time after time after time?

If they just jailed him once this poor lad might still be alive today.

An extract from the article

Moore, who came from a “dysfunctional family” who had helped looked after his brother who had cerebral palsy, then made further breaches of the order even after being initially arrest for the teenager’s murder and had been released on police bail.

The Judge said;

It may well be that the vital part he has played in the care of his brother and the profound family difficulties contributed to the remarkable leniency shown by the courts.

Coming from a dysfunctional family isn't an excuse to commit crimes. If Moore really cared for his brother why didn't he try and stay out of trouble?

Because of these bleeding hearts, a family have lost a son.

When will the government realise that ASBOs don't work unless you enforce them.

How many families are there that have had a loved one beaten to an inch of their life, or have been killed by a thug who has had an ASBO, or has been let out early from prison.

Like i said in my previous Blog;

It is time to get tough and i mean tough on the criminals. Make them worry about being caught by the authorities and about going to prison.

Get rid of their televisions and play stations. Make it so prison is hard on them and scares them, maybe then they will think twice about committing a crime.

The criminals should be scared of going to jail.

If they know that if they get caught they will have a tough time in jail they might think twice before committing a crime.

At the moment they have no fear of the police or prison.

If something can come out of this tragedy, I hope the authorities will come down harder on these thugs who break ASBos and other orders. Maybe then the streets will be a bit safer

Aren't we even Allowed to Protect Ourselves in OUR OWN Homes?

I ask this question after reading the Telegraph article about Myleen Klass' incident i blogged about yesterday.

What are we allowed to do to protect ourselves, if an intruder breaks into our homes?

Here is a quote from the article;

Miss Klass, 31, who was alone in her house in Potters Bar, Herts, with her two-year-old daughter, Ava, called the police. When they arrived at her house they informed her that she should not have used a knife to scare off the youths because carrying an "offensive weapon" – even in her own home – was illegal.

The police arrived at her house and informed her that carrying a knife is illegal. So are the police saying we must get rid of every implement that might be used as an offensive weapon.

I hope the police gave her reassurance and helped calm Myleen's nerves, before they told her she acted illegally in her own home.

Aren't we allowed to protect our family and home any more?

What are the rights for the law abiding citizens of this country who work hard, pay income tax, council tax, who just want to keep their family safe and secure.

It is our human right to feel safe and secure in our own home, and if someone tries to break in to our home then that person does so with the knowledge that the owner of the home he is breaking into, has the right to protect themselves, their family and their home by any and all means at his disposal.

I don't like violence, but when it comes to protecting my family and home i will do anything necessary to protect them.

The police might say that you should call them straight away and hide, but how long will they take to get to you. I am a great believer in the police, but my belief has taken a few knocks over the last few years.

I know it isn't all their fault, they have been drowning in red tape for years, had more laws to enforce then ever before, 3000 new laws at the last count, and the human (criminals) rights act has certainly held them back.

Check out PC Bloggs (Blog) for what the police have to get through. It certainly is an eye opener.

We have to take back our streets from the scum of the earth that inhabits it at the moment.

The police must be allowed to do their job without the human (criminals) rights act getting in the way. Also get rid of all the red tape, health and safety rubbish that they have to right up before they even step out of the door.

When will this happen?

I don't know, but something has to be done soon before we lose the battle altogether.

Why doesn't this Shock Me

Police force 'tricks' to 'fiddle' crime figures

Police forces are using a series of tricks to manipulate crime figures to give a false picture of their performance, a former senior detective has revealed.

This is a headline to this article

I'm sure people have known this for years, but haven't any proof.

Just give us the truth about the crime figures, and then deal with it.

We all see the lawlessness in our towns and cities, but when they are caught they are just let off with a warning, or with an 'asbo' or get a light sentence if it is more serious.

I would like to see all these league tables for detection rates abolished so the police don't have to worry about how many crimes have been solved this month.

Getting rid of these league tables is a start, but the courts have to do their bit as well. They must give proper sentences to these criminals, not just a slap on the wrist.

The police and courts have a lot to do to gain the public trust again after all these years. I still have faith in the police, but it has gone down over the years. I just hope my faith in the police and courts doesn't go down any further.

Crime and Neighbourhood Policing

I have just been reading about Amy Newlove, daughter of Gary Newlove and her question to Gordon Brown about why her fathers murderers were given such soft sentences.
(See Link)

The Prime Minister, speaking at the event organised by Key 103, a Manchester radio station, said crime had fallen but there were now more people in prison, which showed sentences had got tougher.

He added: 'I think, in the longer term, neighbourhood policing is the better thing for all of us. We want to see a visible presence of police on our streets.'

I have a point or two to say about what Gordon Brown said.

He says that crime has fallen and that there are more people in prison. Yes there are more people in prison, but Gordon you are letting other criminals out early so the new ones, or those ones you let out early who re offend return to the prison.

Crime hasn't fallen, it has just been reduced by putting certain crimes in a different category, and by using the crime survey and not the proper crime figures.

With all the crimes reported in the news, locally and nationally, the politicians must be hiding the real crime figures. I think it would be frightening to know what the real figures are.

What will happen when we have another murder like that of Gary Newlove. What will their sentence be?
There have been other murders like this before and there will be others in the future. It is obvious that there needs to be stronger sentences for these type of murders, and murders in general.

It doesn't help when we have this Human Rights, 'for criminals', Act, which only seems to help the low life criminals and not the victims and the innocent people of this country.

Gordon says 'neighbourhood policing is the better thing for all of us.'

Gordon i hate to tell you this, but we had neighbourhood policing years ago, but over the years there have been less and less police walking in our communities.

When i was a lad i saw a policemen nearly everyday walking through town and the surrounding areas, and we had a police station in nearly every town. Policing has become centralised, due to a number of factors. One being better communications, and less money, so they think they won't be needing all the police stations scattered around the country.

Now we have these PCSOs who we see out in our towns. PCSOs can only do a fraction of what a fully trained policeman can do. I would rather have 5 fully trained police than 15 PCSOs.

The police, the courts and sentencing has to be radically changed so the general public can feel safe in our homes and our streets again.

ASBO Youths to be Named and Shamed says PM

The Prime Minister says ASBO youths will be named and shamed by having their names published on the internet and by leaflet. (See Link)

Will it be a deterrent to those hardcore youths out there determined to cause havoc on our streets. In my opinion Not A Chance.

The only way to combat these youths is to have police patrolling our streets. The police also need to know that they won't be held back by any politically correct rubbish. There are times for the police to be tactful, and there are other times when they need to be forceful.

Having the police patrolling our streets is one thing, the other is the courts. When the police arrest someone, say for disturbing the peace or even assault, the police gather evidence and send it to the CPS, they go to court and they get a conviction. Then the magistrates sentence them to a ridiculously soft sentence, even though the same person has been in front of them before.

The whole system need to be changed.

The PM quotes;
''The consequences for committing anti-social behaviour should be clear.''
Mr Brown said he was renewing the Government's focus on crime in the weeks ahead as he promised to ''make life better for the mainstream majority''.

I have just one thing i have to say to the PM, remember what your party said twelve and a half years ago.

What you can't remember, here let me remind you;

'TOUGH ON CRIME, TOUGH ON THE CAUSES OF CRIME'

You're a bit late, you should of stuck to what you said all those years ago.

I cannot believe what this guy did.

I have just read this article and i am so mad with rage that if i meet him i will be in jail.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2684084/Lout-urinates-on-war-memorial.html

I hope the police arrest him and make him do something so humiliating he will never do anything like that again.

I don't care that he was drunk, in my eyes this guy is just scum.

Things that make me smile.

I was sent two links today on my email and both of them made me smile.

They aren't jokes, but more of a comeuppance to so called hard, in your face, scum you see on our streets nowadays.

The first is of a home owner standing his ground while being shouted at by a 'hard' in your face youth. In the video he shouts and swears at the home owner threatening him and trying to get him to fight.

See what happens and see how hard this hard man really is.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oefo00eB_1Q

The other one is about what looks like a night out and a couple of drunken youths fighting and then walking away. As they walk away they start on some cross dressers, but what they don't realise is that the two cross dressers are actually cage fighters. oh dear me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCE5VbgpP3I

Now just to let you know i don't like violence, and i would rather walk away from anything that may become violent, but what these two got for trying to be hard men made me smile. Getting what's coming to you, comes to mind.

What is Happening?

I have just been reading about those 2 boys who beat up stabbed two other young boys.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/6132856/Torture-attack-brothers-were-being-sought-by-police.html

I keep thinking did the 2 boys know right from wrong? What made them go out and attack those 2 boys so horrifically?

Have we lost a generation of children, or a minority of children, who don't know right from wrong, who have no respect for other people, their property, or their community in general.

When i was a youngster we played about and yes we sometimes were a bit loud, but if someone complained or asked us to be quiet we did as we were asked because we had respect for others.

Now if you asked some kids / youths to be quiet or move away from your house, or a certain area, you're lucky to just get a foul mouthed reply. There has been instances where the kids / youths, attacked the person and put them in hospital or killed them.

Some kids / youths are out of control, they have no respect for anyone. When the police try to move them along the police just get a mouthful of abuse, and even attack the police if they try to arrest them.

Who is to blame?
The parents?
The government?
Police?
Society?

What can be done?
They need a strong guiding hand to get them back on the straight and narrow. If they break the law then a strong punishment should be dealt out to them.

I believe a young offenders institute based on the military prison system like Colchester where they don't have a minute to yourself, apart from when you are asleep. It should scare them enough that they wouldn't want to go back.

In the prison they could be taught a trade and maybe they could end up joining the military. They need something to keep them on the straight and narrow.

Something has to be done because i am worried about the future. What will it be like in 10 to 20 years time when those kids grow up and have kids of their own. If the parents didn't know right from wrong, who will teach those kids?

Something has to be done. My idea might work who knows, but something has to be done.
