'SHOCKING NEWS' about Al-Megrahi

'The Lockerbie bomber could survive for 10 years or longer, according to an embarrassed cancer specialist who only last year said he would be dead within three months of his release, a newspaper reported on Sunday.'

Professor Karol Sikora, who assessed Abdelbaset Ali Mohmet al-Megrahi for the Libyan authorities almost a year ago, told The Sunday Times it was "embarrassing" that he had outlived his three-month prognosis.

'It was embarrassing' he says. How many times has this professor got the timing wrong before, or is this the first time he got it wrong?

Is the Lockerbie bomber dying or not?

The Lockerbie bomber, Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, was let out of prison on compassionate grounds due to him having terminal cancer, and having 3 months to live.

He was let out in August, it is now coming up to March and apparently there is a chance he may beat the cancer. Read this article for more info.

If he does recover, will he be taken back to prison?

If he does recover, a huge amount of questions must be asked of the doctors that treated him.

The Scottish and Westminster governments must answer to the Families of those who died in the bombing, if Al-Megrahi lives.

This whole situation stinks, and i hope pressure is brought upon the government, be it the Scottish or Westminster, to answer questions weather any deals were done.

Who said what to who and who gave the ok

I am wondering with the freeing of Megrahi from his sentence, for compassionate reasons, i am wondering what was said and or done for him to be released.

I cannot believe that the Scottish justice secretary has the power, on his own, to ok the release. Surely the foreign secretary David Milliband and Gordon Brown must of known and given a yes or no to the release. I thought Scotland only had the authority over what happened in Scotland and not something that could affect the UK as a whole. This is an international incident and the British government could of stopped the release, if it wanted to

There is something going on, a deal must have been done somewhere.

If a deal has been done, what sort of deal could there be that flies in the face of the justice system. Surely they must of known that this would upset the families of the people who were killed.

I am waiting to see if and when the truth will come out about who knew what and what sort of deal was done to get the release of Megrahi.
