Human Rights Law is an ass
Abu Hamza extradition halted by EU judges
Human rights judges have ordered a halt to the extraditions of Babar Ahmad and radical preacher Abu Hamza, both wanted in the US on terror charges.
That is the headline to this article
An extract;
The Strasbourg court said it wanted more time to examine possible human rights breaches if the men face trial on charges which could mean life sentences without parole.
Ahmad, a 36-year old computer expert, has been in a UK prison without trial for nearly six years, refused bail since his arrest in August 2004 on a US extradition warrant.
Radical preacher Hamza is also wanted on terror charges in the US.
Both appealed separately to the European Court of Human Rights on the grounds that their treatment and potential punishment could violate Human Rights Convention provisions on the ''prohibition of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment''.
Once again, the (In) Human Rights Laws are being used by alleged international terrorists to avoid facing trail.
Why is everything being tried to stop alleged international terrorists being extradited, but Gary McKinnon is just handed over to the US authorities?
This European court ofcriminal and terrorists human rights and the human rights law should be there to protect the innocent, not the criminal and terrorist.
It needs to be changed so the criminal and terrorist can't use it for their own needs.

Is Immigration out of control?
Well read this article and make your own mind up.
An extract from the article.
A total of 203,865 people were granted British citizenship last year – the equivalent of one every three minutes and a 58 per cent jump on the previous year.
It has been said in other blogs, and I will say it again here;
Has Labour let in so many immigrants, and given them British citizenship, so they will vote labour in the next election?
Going by the polls, there may be some truth to it.
Another point to think about.
Just taking the amount of immigrants let in last year, how many could be criminals or worse terrorists?

Now here's a shock announcement
This the headline to this article in the Telegraph;
Full-body scanners at airports may be illegal, warns equality watchdog
Britain’s equality watchdog has warned that full-body scanners, brought in at airports to help catch terrorists, may be illegal.
I am in total shock at this announcement, not.
These scanners are to protect the innocent people from getting killed.
Yes, we may lose some dignity with it showing certain parts, but if it stops terrorists from killing people I think I can live with it.

What Planet are these 'Supreme Court' Judges On
The UK Supreme court has decided to unfreeze terrorist's money.
Here is an extract from an article in the Telegraph
In one of its first decisions, our new Supreme Court has decided to lend a helping hand to terrorism. It did so via an under-reported judgment, issued last week, which torpedoed the Government's policy of freezing terrorists' assets.
That policy was the result of implementing UN Security Council Resolutions. No one doubts that one of the best ways of combating terrorism is to make it as difficult as possible for terrorists to get the funds they need to commit mass murder. That's why the Security Council, in the wake of the US embassy bombings in Africa in 1998, and again after September 11, asked all member states to freeze the assets of groups and individuals it identified as being involved in terrorism.
So in their infinite wisdom they are going to give terrorists their money back.
The United Nations, a world body, has asked countries to freeze terrorist assets. Yes the UN doesn't get it right all the time, but cutting the cash flow to terrorists is a good idea.
Another extract;
It is impossible to understand why their lordships think that such a consideration should take precedence over diminishing a clear and present danger to national security. They know what terrorism involves: scores or even hundreds of people injured or killed by bombs meant to murder as many innocents as possible
It has been said before by many people, but i will say it again. Judges need to live in the real world once in a while and find out what real life is about and how, we, the normal people of this country live.
If terrorists get their money and a terrorist incident happens, god forbid, the judges will have blood on their hands.
What's next for the 'supreme court', invite Bin Laden to lunch?
This decision has to be reversed pretty damn quick.

Is this Two Year Old a Terrorist?
That's what I would be asking if the two year old's name appeared on a terrorist watch list.
This is what happened to Michael Hicks when he first tried to board an airline.
This is from the sky news article.
An eight-year-old boy from the US is apparently suspected of being a terrorist when he goes on holiday because of a name mix-up.
Cub scout Michael Hicks, from New Jersey, is believed to share his name with a suspicious person - and he gets stopped and searched at nearly every airport.
Problems began six years ago when the family tried to fly to Florida from Newark Liberty International Airport.
Airline staff said Michael's name was "on the list" and the boy was 'patted down' - he was just two years old.
Since then, he has found it hard to get on a flight without any problems.

If I had the same name as someone on the watch list and I had the same description, I would understand if i was stopped and checked.
What were the airport security people thinking, didn't they have a description of this guy. Surely they must of known a two year old isn't the same person. Is it the fact that their common sense is surgically removed when they take the job?
Where was their common sense?
Is this part of the reason why it takes three or more hours to board a flight?

SAS Training Libyan Troops
I can't believe this is true.
How can this government order these soldiers who have fought and died during the IRA conflict to train soldiers from a government who sent weapons and explosives to the Irish terrorist. It must feel like a kick in the face, and that is an understatement, to these brave soldiers to train the Libyans.
Yes people might say that Libya has turned it's back on terrorism and we need to look to the future, but they need to gain the trust of the world before we even think of giving them any sort of training and deals.
I remember those two soldiers who accidentally got caught up in funeral in Northern Ireland, and got pulled out beaten up to an inch of their lives and then shot dead. There must be deep unrest in the ranks, not just of the SAS, but in the whole of the armed services who lost friends and colleagues in the conflict.
How much information have they been ordered to share with the Libyans. Is it everything we know in counter-terrorist tactics, or are they getting slightly out of date tactics?
What is stopping the Libyans from selling the information to other terrorist organisations.
I believe we may regret this sometime in the future.
