The British Way of Life

The following is the headline to this article

Islamic face-veil part of 'British way of life'

The full Islamic face-veil is a part of the “British way of life” and should be celebrated along with religious symbols such as the crucifix, according to a report published today.

An extract;

Opponents of the veil claim it oppresses women and presents a barrier between those who wear traditional dress and the rest of society.

But in a new report from think-tank Civitas, Alveena Malik, a former faith adviser to the last Labour government, said the test of whether religious symbols are appropriate should be based on whether they are practical.

In a new report, Women, Islam and Western Liberalism, Mrs Malik said: “We in Britain need to take a different direction from others in Europe and to accept the veil as part of a modern British way of life.”

Sorry sweetheart, but the British Way of Life doesn't include that.

An example of the British way of life is;

The Queen, the changing of the Guard, Winston Churchill, Fish & Chips, Spotted Dick, a pint of real ale, Cucumber sandwiches, cricket, football (or soccer if your from the US), rugby, Wimbledon & queuing to name just a few.

No matter how much uncontrolled immigration multicultural diversity we had under Labour,

THE BRITISH WAY OF LIFE WILL SURVIVE.

If you would like another opinion about this go to 'Ranting Penquin' blog and read his blog about the subject.

This is going to be a Rant, because i need to let off some steam.

Now here's a thought.

How many Labour supporters will Gordon Brown send to the Lords to ruin it for the next government?

What's the betting he will send so many Labour supporters to the Lords that the new Tory (I hope, anyone but Labour) government will have a hard time making new laws because there will be so many Labour peers to stop them.

What has happened to this country?

Democracy, Honour, Justice, Truth, Law and Order, Pride in this Country, Loyalty and Respect to name a few are all dying, if not dead, in this country.

This Country use to be called Great Britain, what has happened to it?

Is it too late to save this country?

NO

We can't let this country fall further into this hole, that Labour have dug for us.

We need to take our country back.

There must be criminal responsibility, so if you break the law you will be punished appropriately.

Doing what's right for family friends, neighbours and country.

Like what John F Kennedy said in his inaugural address in 1961;

Ask not what your country can do for you - Ask what you can do for your country.

From what i can see, there is a large proportion of people who just take take take. There are far fewer people who give, but it is the ones who take who are rewarded.

Like the ones on the dole who haven't worked in their life and have no intention of changing. The ones who fake injury and claim disability benefits, but have nothing wrong with them.

What about all the volunteers who give their time for no or very little money. e.g St John's Ambulance and the RNLI to name just 2 of so many.

Other things that need looking at:

These baby factories. Yes i am talking about certain women who just churn out more children just so they can get more money off social security, and then spend as little of the money as possible on the children.

Children need discipline. I'm not talking about smacking them or using the cane, but they need punishment if they do wrong, so they no right from wrong. If that happens when they are young enough then maybe we won't have so many out of control kids in the schools and on the streets.

Politicians need to be answerable to the voters, and not just at election times. We need to make sure they do what the voters want and not the party machine.

A Government that doesn't let someone free because they are allegedly dying, so we can have first dips on their oil.

We need to let the police do the job with out all the red tape, the (in)human rights and all the other stupid politically correct crap holding them back.

We need prisons that punish the criminal, not give them play stations and TVs in their cells. The criminal must have a fear of going to prison, then maybe they will think twice about committing the crime.

We need schools that will give a proper education to our children. They must teach them to read and write properly, know how to do math, learn the proper history of this country, and not the politically correct crap that they are teaching now. They must teach our children with out so much political interference.

We need to get rid of the bureaucracy in the NHS and employ more nurses and doctors. Why does it take so many managers to run a hospital?

Didn't the government think that letting so many immigrants into this country would cause social and other problems. Another thought, just how many immigrants that the Labour govenment let in are terrorist sympathisers and have damaged the security of this country

Is it right that councils use anti terrorist legislation to snoop on people, and who also have the right to enter your own home with out a warrant or a police officer.

Basically we need to get this country back to normality, back to reason, back to some good sense, back to responsibility.

Rant over. Thank you for your time.

Is Britain a Sovereign State?

A few months ago i wrote this blog about how Britain is being ruled by Europe.

Well i have just read this article in the Times.

A quote from the article;

A key element of the Government’s anti-terror laws was declared illegal today because it breaches human rights.

The European Court of Human Rights ruled that sweeping powers allowing police to stop and search people without having grounds of suspecting their involvement in terrorism are illegal.

This ruling is more proof that the UK isn't allowed to do anything without the ok from the EU and the human rights court.

Does anyone remember V for Vendetta.

'Outrage over controversial Islamic group's plan to march through Wootton Bassett'

That is the headline from this article in the telegraph

Now i will try and stay calm while writing this.

Wootton Basset is a town whose people are doing what everyone in the country would do, by paying our respects to our honoured dead.

I'm sure everyone would agree that they would be doing exactly what the people of Wootton Basset are doing, by lining the streets and pay their respects to our fallen, if they came through their town.

If this islamic group do march through Wootton Basset they would, in my opinion, be at the very least disrespecting our honoured dead, and the thought of that makes me, and probably the whole country, very upset.

It shouldn't matter if you are for or against the war, those lads and lasses are our brothers, sisters, fathers, sons and daughters. It doesn't matter if you aren't related to anyone out there, they are still our brothers and sisters fighting for their country.

This march cannot be allowed to go ahead, not just because of all the hurt it may cause, but because the far right would most probably turn up as well, and then you will have what will become a dangerous situation. I would not want that to happen in Wootton Basset

The community of Wootton Basset has shown great patriotism that the whole country feels for our lads and lasses, and i would hate for anything to happen there if this group do march there.

The march by this islamic group must not be allowed to go ahead.

A Very Interesting Article about the UK

Politicians chose to put you in this mess
Policies can make Britain's financial and social problems worse - or better, argues Irwin Stelzer.

The above is the headline to an article, that in my opinion, is worth reading.
(See Link)

From what the article says, we can get Britain back on it's feet and working it's way back to becoming Great Britain again. It just needs someone with the bottle of someone like Margaret Thatcher to kick start this.

I know some people don't like her, but like her or hate her she had the bottle to go against all of the European commission and get a rebate for Britain. She went up against the unions and won.

Britain is now close to, if not, in the gutter. We need to look at every policy and make it work, by either changing it or getting rid of it and making a new one that works for all the people of the UK.

Have a read of the article and see what you think.

Is Britain a sovereign state?

Over the years i have been reading about the EU and how it has changed the UK.

I would love to know who actually governs us, is it the Government in the House of Commons or is it through Brussels?

How many laws (or regulations when they want to slide it in through the back door) is Britain governed by that actually come from Brussels?

I don't think we can pass a law now without making sure it doesn't go against one from Brussels. For example, any police force in europe can make an arrest warrants for anyone in the EU and the local force, in another country, has to arrest them and send them to the country that issued the warrant.

If we were a sovereign state i don't believe that Should happen, they would have to go through the courts to extradite that person.

Back in 1972 when Ted Heath signed us up to the common market, did he know that what he was signing was not a trade agreement, but something that would eventually become a monster swallowing countries up, sometimes against the majority of certain country's population. e.g. France, Holland, The Irish and i am pretty sure that the UK population would say no to it.

When i started my working life, i was taken round the place of work and i was told what to do and shown the safety aspect of where i was working and i remembered it and that was that. I knew when to wear safety goggles and a hard hat etc.

Now you have to write out risk assessments for everything, but nearly everything is common sense.

There are four files that any new employee has to read (at my place of work) so he knows what the risk of working here is. Then he has to sign it to say he has read it.

This is a prime example of what companies have had to do, that i have seen over the years.

Have you read on a packet of peanuts, under the allergy information, 'may contain nuts'. Also on a carton of milk it reads ' may contain milk'.

How stupid is it when the food item says milk or peaNUTs on the front of the item, but still has to put it down on the allergy information.

When did we lose our common sense, i know i have still got it, but it looks like someone somewhere thinks we don't have any.

I am worried for the future of this country.

Will we still be called Great Britain or the UK in the future or will we be just a province in a state called the EU?
